Pros

There's a lot of opportunity to be had at SG. The divisional structure, while it has issues, also lends itself well to those who may be looking for their niche. Very competitive pay. The Chicago location is fun and engaging, and the people are amazing. Perks abound in this office, with 2 gyms, a rec area, and a basketball court. It fosters a sense of community. The benefits are great, and now that mergers are 2 years behind us, old perks that were originally gone are starting to come back.

Cons

Leaders at the corporate level are incredibly out of touch. SILOS. The three divisions are so reluctant to work together, it feels like pulling teeth just to get a bit of help from someone in a different location. No maternity leave--absolutely ridiculous. Resistance to change amidst constant change is like an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. The justifications for changes (i.e. RIFs, leadership changes, departmental shuffling, etc.) are never communicated and always impact employee moral negatively.

Thank you for your feedback on working at Scientific Games. We appreciate your comments regarding Maternity leave and wanted to confirm that we do offer FMLA (paternal also)and short-term disability, both of which can be used for childbirth and maternity. We provide a comprehensive and competitive array of benefit options for our employees, and we review our benefit programs and offerings annually. Thank you for your suggestions.
