Pros

Interesting and challenging work in Game Development. The new platform on Unity Engine gives lots of opportunities to learn and experiment.

Cons

Engineers are not respected in this place. Managers think of themselves as gods. Freshers should refrain from joining here and spoiling their careers. Very fewer growth opportunities for engineers, unless u lick management's arse.

Unrealistic

Pros

- Decent pay - Job security

Cons

- Constantly frustrated with open ended discussions between myself and my management - Unrealistic deadlines and expectations - Many people in the company use the excuse of "I don't know". The work is then left to fall on the people that do with no repercussions for the people that don't. - Lots of wasted resources spent "putting out fires" with no intention of fixing root cause. - Very negative culture. - Extremely low moral - Lack of management competence - Much of the work completed is just to put on a show. In other words, management doesn't know what to do therefore they throw resources at the problem to say that they are doing something. Most management spends their entire days on useless conference calls rather than managing their department.

Lots more work to do integrating.

Pros

I'm only here because I'm dedicated to helping my manager and other managers figure out in which of 6 systems they might be able to cobble together what their costs are. If you are up for a challenge, sure come to SG.

Cons

We are not integrated. The segment reporting has created silos between Corporate, Gaming, and Lottery. No one is on the same page. I almost spit up my coffee when I read this line in an e-mail " now that the heavy lifting of integration is behind us". If by "behind us" you mean really getting ugly because we're given no corporate guidance, sure. All people seem to care about is making the bonus amount for their division. We are not one company, and will not be until the bonus structure is about the whole company only.
