Flexible days. You pick what days to work - can accept assignments day of/night before. Pay is about between $160-230 per day

Cons

Schools are awful in Los Angeles. There is little support at all times at almost any school so if you run into bad administration, you're on your own. Substitute teaching takes incredible patience and a strong ability to manage your own stress. Long term assignments are not worth the pay. You will have to grade hw and tests and spend more hours than you are being paid to work.
