They're better than the other staffing agencies in LA

Pros

The pay is better than the other agencies. The coordinators and management are a lot more flexible with you and more respectful of you than the other agencies, to my knowledge. The network of schools is unbelievably diverse.

Cons

It's substitute teaching, so you gotta find something else to do in the summer. This is not specific to Scoot Education.

Pros

-Mission is lived and part of business and culture -Young, smart, agile forward thinking CEO -Team members are smart, hard working -Everyone likes showing up to work & enjoys each other's company -Book club monthly which means everyone's in a growth mindset -Flexible hours (go to the doctor or WFH if you have to) -Fun company culture -Big potential for the business -Tech savvy (everyone's on mac, Google, Basecamp, etc) -Standing desks & free snacks -Backed by Australian parent company so we're part of something bigger There's actually a TON of pros. First time I've loved 98% of everything a company does and stands for.

Cons

The cons of any startup. Growth pains like "Oh, we need to better that process now that we're bigger" haha The benefits package is still evolving. But I have faith that it'll grow to be highly competitive and meaty in the near future.
