Do not pay the time you take at home to study terminology, etc, yet demand you learn it in a couple days. Very awful with clocking in and deducting hours from you.

Deceiving about compensation - The job is advertised as paying $10/hr; I only found out halfway through training I would be making $8/hr for the first 90 days. It gets better - at a meeting roughly 3.5 months into my employment, we were informed our raise is not necessarily after 90 days, but at the discretion of management. I will be resigning after 4 months of employment, and am still making $8/hr. I was also led to believe I would be working as a scribe for an ER doctor, as was advertised on the job listing and training workbook. Only on day 1 of floor training (~2 months into employment) was I informed I would instead be working with a hospitalist. This has led to numerous other problems that I won't expand on, as they're not necessarily relevant here. Training was pretty ineffective and drawn out. There was too much focus on medical diagnoses, procedures etc. You will learn this in no time once you start working. Focus should be on using the documentation software and how to do the job well. Management could use work - my project leader was generally unfriendly and unapproachable during training. I did not feel comfortable asking questions and consequently felt unprepared when I began working on my own.
