Pros

Great team of developers to work with. It truly felt like everyone wanted you to succeed. They have a strong product and code base to work with if you're a software engineer. They have good processes for developing products with product owners, scrum masters, managers, etc.

Cons

They office setup needs be more aligned with a modern company for software engineering. The software 'house' as its call is literally a house not an office building. Instead of yearly bonuses they spend more on socializing, training, facilities, etc.

Pros

-Working at as a Field Service Technician for ScriptPro is challenging and engaging. As a Kansas City based tech, I find myself traveling almost every other week, all over the United States and sometimes internationally in order to repair and service ScriptPro's top of the line models of pharmacy robots. I was not originally a tech oriented guy, but the hardware training was engaging and taught by former technicians, and for the most part was not too difficult to understand. They don't expect you to know every single thing about these products once the initial training is over. You learn plenty on the job as well. -One of the best parts of the company is the tech support system. If you are having an issue or a problem you are having trouble solving, you call in and receive more support from more experienced technicians who have likely ran into every problem you've seen and then some. They serve as great mentors in this regard. -I thoroughly enjoy all the travel that I get to undertake due to the nature of the job. I'm checking many of the great American cities off my list, as well as places I never thought I'd see, such as Guam and Hawaii. Many ScriptPro assets are on Military bases, and those are all around the world! -The people you work with are always happy to see you because when you show up to a pharmacy they know you're going to solve their problem, and get their robot working. -If I had to brag about one thing about the company it would be ScriptPro's quality of customer service. Customers are confident in their robot, but more importantly, they are confident that if there is an issue with their system, we'll be working on it in a timely manner. -Great benefits, plus you get to keep airline and hotel points. -Advancement and lateral movement within the company happens frequently depending on how competent you become and what direction you want to go.

Cons

-The amount of travel required by Mission based KC techs may be off-putting and stressful to those who do not enjoy it. The 5 days off are pretty cool, but I can see how some might get burnt out. -If you've never had a technician job before, like me, the learning curve on the administrative side can be a bit rough. Once you get the hang of it, its smoother sailing. -The amount of information to know about the products can seem exhausting. -I don't think stock in the company is available for purchase.

Not a team-friendly environment

Pros

They have a decent training program

Cons

When thrown into the mix, the training they provided did not cover all aspects of what was expected of you. Management did not coincide with each other, up to and including micro-managing on a huge scale. ALSO, every person that is not upper management is now considered an "hourly" employee as opposed to a salaried employee.

Pros

I was offered extensive training and my coworkers were always willing to help me as I learned the job.

Cons

Health benefits were double the amount of my previous employer, and the specifics weren't disclosed until my first day. When I asked the HR rep about the health care costs, she told me "that will all be covered during orientation." After being in the position for seven months, the company went through restructuring and my position was eliminated. I left my previous employer (I job that I loved) because I saw the position at SP as a form of career progression. I understand that business is business, but it just doesn't make sense to hire people, train them and lay them off seven months later.

Pros

I have been working at ScriptPro for less than a year. This is one of my first jobs post college, and I am very pleased to work for a company like ScriptPro. From a new hire perspective, ScriptPro takes the time and money and truly invests in their employees. The first three weeks of working here was spent in training. Anyone and everyone is always willing to help and answer questions. ScriptPro is a family run business. The CEO, Mike Coughlin, is a genuine, passionate, innovative, caring and ethical man. He treats his employees like family, taking the utmost care for them. He is also surrounded by a team of executives that operate in the same manner as him. ScriptPro not only listens to their employees' concerns, but they also ACT on them. Just this year, they improved our health insurance, 401k, added a holiday, upgrading employee phones to newest version of the iPhone, and much more. I am very grateful to work for a company like ScriptPro who takes care of their employees and I am very optimistic about my future with this company.

Cons

No employer is perfect. There are aspects to every job that are irritating. However, at ScriptPro, there are no "dealbreakers" that would make me leave this company. The pay is average, but at the end of the day, you are working for a company with an outstanding reputation in the industry and product that is revolutionary.

Pros

ScriptPro is a gem in Kansas City. The family owned business has a warm atmosphere and a can-do attitude amongst employees. There is a lot of attention paid to new employees to make sure they have the training and knowledge they need to do an excellent job. Plus, employees are all helpful if you have questions or don't know how to do something. The owners seem to listen and care about the employees. This year we filled out employee satisfaction surveys and within a short time the owners made major improvements to employee benefits. At other organizations those types of improvements would have taken at least 6 months, but here it was done quickly. It shows that they really care about employee happiness which makes it even more motivating to do a great job. There is always something fun happening, farm parties, holiday parties, bbq competitions, etc. It really is a fun culture to be a part of everyday and makes it fun to come to work. Finally, the campus is beautiful. There is a sense of pride to see all the landscaping and flowers around each building and certainly adds to the world class products we produce.

Cons

There are some politics, like everywhere else, but other than that it's a very pleasant place to be. If you try hard and have a good attitude you'll have a great time here.

Pros

The people in the trench were good for the most part. Parties, corporate challenge, food, break room, nap area etc. etc.

Cons

Every group seems to have lazy people who are buddies with managers / directors and literally don't pull their weight but get away with it. Bringing concerns / complaints are met with deaf ears. Promotions are non existent unless you're drinking buddies with managers / directors / VP's. Work load and expectations are often unrealistic and unmanageable. Training and documentation is lacking, and there are many people who if they were hit by a bus tomorrow would leave huge gaps with their longevity. Their systems and processes are so antiquated it's not even funny. Management refuses to get with the times and listen to the people actually doing the work. The inefficiencies are glaring but no one wants to change. The sales process is embarrassing. They will literally contract with someone for a product that doesn't even exist yet and sit on it for years before scrapping the idea or installing some washed up solution that doesn't work as they were originally sold.

Pros

Good company culture, talented, hardworking employees/co-workers. Long term retention of employees Competitive wages and benefits

Cons

Many departments/employees overlooked for contributions and taken for granted, while others are given regular praise, appreciation, awards and $ bonuses. Training and instruction for procedures are not well communicated. Too much time wasted trying to figure out who the 'go to' people are in other departments. Departments are too lean and employees are overwhelmed with workloads, but managers don't want to increase dept budgets for new employees/help.
