Pros

Supportive and collaborative company culture with genuinely kind colleagues. Team members are always willing to help each other, creating a welcoming atmosphere where you can comfortably ask questions and share ideas.

Cons

Project and client portfolios lack diversity, which limits exposure to different industries and technical challenges. This can potentially restrict professional growth and skill development opportunities.

Pros

Management is rather hands off, which allows for more self-driven individuals to excel. This also means less bureaucracy for most tasks. Benefits are top notch.

Cons

Since management is more hands off, departments that are not pulling their weight drag the overall company down and create more work for others. Since most folks are not following strict guidelines, there are many projects that are a mess from beginning to end since no one wants to take the lead on recurring tasks. Overall pay is lacking.

Pros

I have been at Security Innovation a little over a year now and am very happy with the company so far. I work fully remote and everyone is always accommodating of different time zones and work schedules. The entire team is competent, polite, and fun to work with. Compensation is fair and is constantly being adjusted for cost of living increases. The organization rewards hard work with quicker promotions but also heavily emphasizes work-life balance. Processes are in place to ensure employees are never overworked and there is a lot of extra time set aside for professional development and research projects. All of this in addition to the unlimited PTO and large number of recognized holidays.

Cons

My only complaint is that SI is too lenient on engineers who are slacking off on projects. While this is rare as most of the team is very reliable, on the occasions this does happen it places a lot of strain on the engineers paired up with them on projects.
