      Pros

      Their health insurance is decent, and fairly cheap. I like living in Wichita.

      Cons

      Poor staff retention, poor pay. KPERS 3 is not good and they make you put 6% of your salary into it; I wish I could opt out of KPERS and put the money in my 457b.

      IT is spread thin and has inconsistent policies/practices to on-board new technology. Pay is generally low and does not allow for talent retention.

      Great place to work, have enjoyed my 31 year career. The people were the best part of working for sedgwick country.

      Cons

      The benefits that the county provided seemed to get more expensive with less services provided as the years went by.
