Pros

Training is thorough and executed well. WFH so you save on some expenses like gas and food. Also get a small internet stipend monthly. You are fed leads, little to no cold calling. Earning potential is high. $13 base pay so if you don't make sales you can't survive, but a salesperson with average metrics can clear roughly $70K give or take. You do have an opportunity to help seniors with their healthcare, but sometimes you have to battle being called a scam or trying to switch plans for no reason.

Cons

Leveling means higher levels get higher priority (easier to convert) calls and lower levels get junk leads from people that have been contacted 100 times already. Commission structure is jumbled and could be simpler, but they have to make sure they cover themselves enough to be able to "claw back" earned commissions if you or a customer made a mistake. Plus high payouts for commissions isn't just about sales, but converting no sales into dental, home, auto, final expense, or other services most seniors who are cash strapped have no interest in. Call center vibes. Take calls and keep customers the line to upsell if you can't get them switched to a different plan. The line blurs sometimes between making a sale that helps all parties involved and not just yourself. Some of these are regular sales job cons, and some are person gripes. Everyone is different and some may not find the work rewarding enough to keep putting their best foot forward daily. Especially if you don't have a product that can help seniors and others with their medicare services.
