Pros

My line manager is a good person and seems to be trying their best but is not good at their job. Most colleagues genuinely want to help you do your job and are open to changes. Pay better than same role at previous job.

Cons

Only exists as a company to make money and very open about that fact. Silo working: different departments do not talk to each other despite their activities directly affecting the others e.g. planning and costing. Some managers engaged in politics and power struggles which is very off putting when trying to do your job. Blatent arrogance and see-through brown nosing met with rewards. Promotion decisions based on how well liked employees are, not their achievements. Equipment old and not looked after. More desk work than nessecary due to bureaucracy. Overstaffed with unqualified people.
