Pros

Affordable medical insurance and number of paid holidays.

Cons

Sensient is a culture of perfection and anything less is unacceptable. Don't step up and cover for a vacant position - you will not be recognized for the additional effort and instead reprimanded for any mistakes made while juggling two full-time roles. Coworkers just show up to work each day and don't bother to even interact with each other. The office is so quiet you can hear a pin drop. Military type of leadership.

Pros

Innovative products. Growing markets. Customer-focused culture grounded in non-negotiable core values (integrity, professionalism, safety). For those looking to learn, grow, and find career fulfillment, while working as part of a highly motivated, global community, Sensient provides the ideal opportunity. The commitment to developing talent starts at the top of the organization with the CEO. The CEO personally leads trainings for managers and individual contributors, encourages employees to have broad career horizons, and sets the expectation that Sensient's leaders must actively and humanely engage with their employees to navigate challenges and facilitate their success.

Cons

Criticisms of Sensient tend to center on the professional attire and work in office expectation. Any individual looking for a casual work experience will not find it at Sensient. Sensient runs its business to serve its customers at an elite level. To do that, we dress up and we show up, for our customers and for one another. Some see this as a "con." Our belief is that this is the best path to success, and that achieving success is the best way to serve the interests of our extraordinarily talented and committed employees, their families, and their communities.

Pros

The best summary to my comments below; if you are a person who likes to be playing on the field when the game is going on and working hard to help your team win, this is the place for you. If you are a benchwarmer or armchair quarterback, no need to apply. 1. Rewarded for hard work and achieving results. 2. High culture of accountability - focused on exceeding our customer's expectations, which required a high caliber talent community who are not satisfied with average performance. 3. Opportunities to advance. I see this all the time, if you are good at what you do, you will be noticed and recognized. You have choices, you can consider opportunities outside of your normal area of expertise as well as the ability to relocate globally in 35 countries. 4. Smart people: my peer group is made up of intelligent driven professionals that make me better at what I do. 5. Fast paced. If you are frustrated working in an environment where it takes forever to have a decision made or action taken, you will not find that here. You have to be comfortable working and making decisions at a pace you may never have experience. Not for the faint of heart. 6. Having a voice. With the right information and support, you will have many opportunities to share you ideas to improve the business. The best part, since the organization is very flat, it does not take months to get things approved. 7. Pay and benefits are excellent.

Cons

One thing 25 years of experience in four different industries has taught me, no place is perfect, an 80% fit is an excellent match. 1. Fast paced. Both a pro and con. I am able to achieve more in my role that any in the past 20 years because of the pace. However, the organization could benefit from taking some time to ensure what is rolled out or initiated is absorbed and not focused on what is next. 2. Feedback. Under Paul's leadership, communication is greatly improving, there is much more that can be done. Inviting employees to share their feedback in various formats (online, surveys, meetings, etc.) is still needed.
