Pros

Flexible schedule Helpful managers 401(k) match On-site clinic

Cons

Hybrid Work From Home Model instead of permanent WFH, even though we've had a couple very successful years working from home. They built a new building and want people in it. Boasts about huge company surplus, but gives shockingly low "bonuses" to low and mid-level employees. Advertises amenities that normal employees haven't been able to use in more than two years. Golf course on site is only for the 1%. Even at the employee rate, you better harvest a few organs if you want to bring friends and family as guests. Same goes for the new hotel. Had a higher up tell me that donating to United Way is optional, but so is Sentry's choice to keep me employed. Most people donate out of fear or guilt to get extra PTO.

Pros

Onsite managers are supportive and try to make work enjoyable. Flex time is available.

Cons

Upper management is disconnected. No inline promotional opportunities. Saturdays are now required work days with no regard to prior ongoing commitments and no corresponding salary adjustments.

Thank you for your feedback. Our management team is dedicated to providing an environment that’s not only productive, but also supportive, flexible, and enjoyable—we’re pleased you find this to be true. Our customers’ service needs continue to evolve—this means being available and ready to help them during times that have traditionally been non-business hours. To accommodate this, we’ve made adjustments to our scheduling, on a rotational basis. We feel we can deliver on our promise of exceptional service to our customers while still maintaining the flexibility our associates appreciate. Regarding inline promotions, our local claims management continuously assesses the need and opportunity for promotions within their teams. We encourage you to have a follow-up conversation with your manager on future development opportunities. We take all feedback seriously and appreciate you taking the time to provide your comments. Pros

401k match and health benefits are very good.

Cons

Very antiquated work flows and resources given to the sales staff. Underwriting is terrible and if you are lucky enough to get a quote released, in time, you are generally 75-100% higher than the competition. They demand that you "quote, quote, quote" however don't care that you are extremely high in pricing. When you attempt to address the pricing issues with management you are quickly advised to stop complaining.
