Pros

Sephora is by far one of the best companies I've ever worked for. Since joining Sephora I met several people who has a long tenure with the company, which is great because it shows me that they're big on having a low turnover rate. There's plenty of opportunities to move up in the company. The relationship/communication with the Regional and District Managers are exceptional. They really took the time out to hear my opinions and thoughts on topics I've discussed with them. Sephora has help me enhance my skills as a Loss Prevention Agent. The challenges of the tasks that were given made me utilize skills that i never knew i had. Joining the Sephora team was the best decision that I've made and i would recommend that if anyone one is looking for a Company where it's more like a family atmosphere Sephora is the pace to be.

Cons

I have no regrets about Joining the Sephora Team. (No Cons)

Pros

Company sales performance is excellent, fun events, lots of gratis, room for growth, many women in management roles

Cons

People across all departments are overworked and continuously expected to work at a breakneck pace, leaders either lack the time or foresight to make proactive decisions and employees are instead putting out fires left and right. Training new or promoted employees is not a priority, and the sink-or-swim mentality creates low empathy among coworkers. Burning out after a few years is not uncommon, and overall employee morale is very low. Catty attitudes are the stereotype and unfortunately both prevalent and seemingly encouraged by management. The "Work-Life Balance" value is a joke- peoples' personal time is not respected and the expectation that you be available 24/7, 7 days a week is widespread. You will need to take a steep pay-cut in your overall salary, although this will hopefully be made whole come bonus time
