Pros

- Good location, very close to beautiful Walnut Creek downtown,No Overtime, certain amount to spend on "career wear" shopping, gift cards a couple times a year

Cons

- The worst micromanaging I have ever seen - You get write ups for the smallest things (coming in 5 min late) - No opportunity for advancement (no senior position) - Very high turnover. The most senior employee has been here a little over a year. Five managers in 3 years - Feel stupid when asking questions. Not friendly - don't feel supported or encouraged - You will be responsible for cleaning the kitchen atleast twice a year. - Cannot talk to your coworkers about anything other than work or you will be frowned upon

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We do our very best to support our team members which is why we review compensation on an annual basis, provide increases, make adjustments in salary to ensure the employee is paid "at market" (without being asked to), provide $350-$750 per year to shop at retailers like Banana Republic and Express, and many other perks like Fun Day, our annual holiday luncheon, and our Random Acts program such as giving each employee a $50 amazon gift card "just because." On the other side of it, we do have established company policies and procedures as most companies do, to support our customers. If given the opportunity, I would like to support you in talking through your concerns. Please do come see me or our HR Specialist so that we may assist you with them. Thank you, Enrica

Pros

average salary/hourly, benefits, time-off, location

Cons

Micromanagement and mismanagement in accounting and HR that leads to big turnover and low moral Employees in accounting enjoy micromanagement. The desks are monitored for the amount of paper on them, the placement of pens, picture etc. Talks among employees are discouraged. 2-3 minutes about work are still ok. Don't let the job posting fool you: sense of humor is definitely not welcomed. {Edited} has a cold attitude with the employees and usually conducts conversations thru {Edited}, who is the {Edited} accounting department. By the way, {Edited} does not have any power in directing and managing team, he/she is there just to communicate the {Edited} wishes. Morale in the company is pretty low, especially in these departments. Any rule violation will be reported to HR where they are happily put it into the employee file, to prepare for their 2-3 year turnover activity. HR welcomes you, especially their {Edited}, but they are there to save the management and not deal with the employee. There was a point where {Edited} forced HR reps to come up with reasons to fire certain employees, hence turnover in HR department is big as well. Certain employees did come up with evidence to write up other employees. This process of getting rid of the employees usually takes 2-3 years.

Pros

Birthday "holiday", location close to Broadway Plaza and restaurants, not much overtime

Cons

Constantly monitored (breaks, being on phone) - A LOT of micromanaging, no growth potential, annual 3% raises (not based on performance, rare to get over this), constant turnover, write ups are common, head of department has a couple favorites and very cold to everyone else, friendship is not encouraged
