Company has changed significantly, for the better.

Pros

Ethical, customer-first standards are encouraged. Most Managers are team-oriented and foster a friendly environment. Lots of emphasis on growth, technology improvements and efficiency.

Cons

Budget constraints still prevent improvements and provide little flexibility once budgets are allocated. Lack of cohesive company culture in some areas. High turnover. Still needs training structure improvement.

Company vehicle and gas card

Cons

Commissions get reduced multiple times a year, but corporate (and in turn local management) try to frame it as a positive. Bonus structure makes it nearly impossible to get a bonus. They value shareholder profits over anything and everything - including doing business with integrity or treating employees like human beings rather than cogs in their profit machine. They genuinely do not care if their employees make a living wage.

All about overselling

Salary is not currently bad

They have made it clear raises in the future will be limited, they try to make you over sell to customers and are less a customer service based company and more a get what you can out of customers company. The parent company owns another company that leases out hvac systems that end up costing customers 2.5 to 3 times the amount of the system value at time of sale and they are pushing us to upsell that to customers and when customers are buying systems straight out instead we are asked why we didn't try to get them to use the advantage leasing instead.
