Pros

There are no pros for this dysfunctional "business."

Cons

I don't recommend working for this company. There are so many negative and dishonest people throughout this organization making it a miserable working environment. Shortly before I left, they hired a manager who allowed her personal issues to interfere with her professionalism. She screamed at me because I asked for a trade show attendee list?! At least she did it in front of my sales coach that I had been working with for two years. Her tantrum ended up leaving both myself and sales coach stunned, so how she persuaded the powers that be to let me go a couple weeks after that incident is beyond me. Not one account manager that I previously worked with is still there including one that had been there for over 10 years. When I asked the reason for being let go HR said that it was due to “productivity." That was the excuse the three others that were let go before me were told too. It was NOT due to productivity. The worst was when I learned they had lied to unemployment and said I had taken vacation time and not reported it... 100% NOT TRUE. Unbelievably disgusting people. I don't recommend working for SM CDR or hiring this company for any restoration work. If they will lie about someone that worked hard for them for two years, they'll lie about anything.

Pros

Multiple opportunities to learn about the restoration industry.

Cons

Low wages for very hard work. Bad company culture. Sneaky & disingenuous staff. Bonuses are manipulated and are not as promised in onboarding. Poor onboarding process. On call system is vague and unreliable ( many employees don't show up.)
