Good but demanding company

Pros

Bill McDermott (CEO) is an inspiring leader but the company culture has nonetheless deteriorated slightly from one year to the next. It's still a good company to work for, but not as incredible as it used to be.

Cons

Pace and demands are increasing each quarter as extremely high growth numbers are required just to keep the stock afloat at current valuations. This has created a culture where exceeding expectations now has to be viewed as the baseline requirement.

Pros

1. Amazing colleagues (smart, hardworking, passionate) 2. Decent work-life balance; few places I've been at where people can comfortably use unlimited PTO and ~monthly wellness days 3. Company is "stabilizing" in terms of growth. No mass layoffs compared to most competitors, though we are flattening. 4. Positive workplace culture overall 5. Remote centric, very supportive of people with families

Cons

1. Workplace politics and leadership conflicts feel more apparent in day-to-day work. Much of our work feels more like appeasing these situations vs. driving value 2. Priorities and projects shift all the time, often last minute, without clear business reasons from leaders. While expectations to still execute are at 110%. Causes lots of stress and thankless work for people in mid-level roles 3. Constant re-orgs, every 2-3 months, is taxing. Causing more inefficiencies with governance and execution 4. Stock price has fallen by more than 50% in past year. Hasn't been the best for worker morale since a lot of our comp is tied to this 5. No budget for team-building or in-person activities, even annual, to offset remote work life. Ex. some teams have worked together for years and still never met.

Pros

From day one, roles and expectations are clearly defined — there's no ambiguity about responsibilities or scope, which makes it easy to hit the ground running. Leadership is transparent and genuinely responsive to employee feedback, and when something needs to change, it does. The culture here is exceptional. Training is thorough, and the energy from leadership — especially the CEO's enthusiastic "Let's Go!" at the close of every meeting — makes it easy to stay motivated and feel like part of something bigger. The company also values and invests in its people — I came on as a contractor and was brought on full-time, which says a lot about how they treat their talent.

Cons

No cons at this time. I came in as a contractor for 18 months before going full-time, so I had a solid sense of what to expect — and it's delivered on every front.
