Don’t Trust Them

Unlimited time off, remote work (for now), decent insurance (also for now)

Cons

Upper management so far removed from company Treats employees as commodities Does not respect medical needs or accommadations ‘unlimited time off’ doesn’t include sick time LOW wage, no ability to ask for raises, encouraged to not talk about how little is made

Pros

Great moral, opportunity for growth with the business and friendly colleagues/environment.

Cons

Tech industry + startups are sometimes unpredictable and job loss is a real worry, even if the business is seemingly doing very well, things can occur sharply depending on the climate while at the same time requiring a lot of work/effort on each employee to do their part + more in order to make the business successful with no guarantee of having a job at the end. However, this “ con” or advice should be something to watch out for when working for other companies as well.
