      Pros

      I love being a Program Coordinator with REM- Hennepin. This job has been very rewarding knowing I am helping indivduals with disabilities acheive their goals. If ever a problem arises I can go to managment for help and they will guide me through certain situations with no problems.The company encourages advancment within, which is re-assuring for someone who is looking to excel in this field.

      Cons

      Patients will be your most valuable player in this field. Your patients at times will get tested when working with indviduals who have certain disabilities. Although, this just makes the feeling greater when clients acheive goals.

      - Managers are concerned about their "consumers" and do their best to make it work. - Training provided is great! - Good about arranging coverage if you need to take a day off - health care plan you can pay into

      Cons

      - Gradually reduced my hours from full-time to half time once my availability changed and I informed my supervisor I was accepted to a graduate program - Low wage with GRADUAL increases

      The hours are surprisingly flexible and the variety of work ensures that no day is the same. Time to make connections with the people we serve makes the job rewarding. The company motto is "Life to the Fullest", which they do a great job at following.

      Cons

      The unpredictability can sometimes be difficult, but it's just the nature of working in human services! No real concerns. Management is great.
