Pros

Sharp Home Care is truly a wonderful place to work, each employee exemplifies the SHARP Experience both in the office and out in the field with recent Nurse of the Year nominations! The Business and Clinical Directors have both made it their mission to always listen to their employees, have comprehensive training, bring in quality employees, and push for continual improvement within the department. The Clinical Director has brought improved cohesiveness and communication between SHARP Home Care and the entire organization. Moving to SHARP Home Care is one of the best decisions that I have made!

Pros

Sharp Home care is the best place to work. Home health care is such a wonderful job. It is not just caring for patients in their home but it’s about being part of their lives, part of their family. You are involved with the patients and family on an individual level. The home setting is intimate and it fosters familiarity, sharing, connections, and caring between clinicians, patients and their families/caregivers Home health requires the clinician to be flexible, open minded, and have a wide range of experience and skill sets. It in turn offers your day variety, new challenges and learning something new all the time. What I like best is that Sharp Home care is patient centered care. Everything is focuses on best care for the patient. I feel everyone on the team cares about the patient as a person and wants to do their best to educate, support and improve the patient’s status. Because we are in the patient’s home we are able to more completely assess the situation, become closer and assist with improvements in patient’s goals. Diane Granander R.N. Pros

When I moved from NYC to San Diego I applied at all of the Hospitals in San Diego. After 3 months (savings gone!) Sharp called and offered me an interview. I didn't know it at the time but that was the best phone call of my life. I've loved working at Sharp for the last 22 years! I love working for a company that has the same values that I do. The Sharp Experience is real at Sharp and we are appreciated for treating our patients and co-workers with kindness and respect. I think Sharp is the most secure healthcare system in San Diego because they've grown market share for over 12 years...the only healthcare system in San Diego to grow market share! I now work at Sharp Home Health and love the team and the flexibility. It is rewarding knowing we get to provide care for patients right in their own home. The patients love us and our work is so rewarding! It's great to get paid to do what feels right. I am glad I got the call from Sharp 22 years ago :)

Cons

There is no onsite gym. But Sharp does have Sharp Best Health and we do get discounts on many health options and gyms.
