Pros

Get to work with some cool people and the benefits are good if you last long enough to get that far.

Cons

Having to work with not-so-good people and it can be high-stress at times for what seems to be not enough pay. It's become very corporatized.

Pros

Easy work and when in grocery you primarily work independently.

Cons

HR is distant and not helpful. Promotion givens based off of having a lot of available hours rather than performance (resulted in that employee stealing and getting terminated)

I overall had a good experience working at Shaw's because I enjoyed the company of the co-workers and managers within my department and store. I had fun with the tasks in the bakery such as baking/packaging cookies and occasionally decorating cakes.

Cons

I would typically only have a maximum of 20 hours per week, so it can be competitive to get on the schedule. There would also be a push from store management to get more work done than was reasonable for your shift.
