      Easy Job, Terrible Management

      Pros

      Very easy work. Flexible depending.

      Cons

      The company chooses to waiste money rather than seek out true problems. For example, they choose to spew money on new handbaskets while there is already plenty that can still be used instead of giving my department new registers which we most desperately need. Not only this but management is also terrible, they choose to talk down to you rather than help you. My department head also refuses to understand situations in someone personal life that may effect work and also make her employees feel small. Not only this but the CEO apparently always comes for visits so we spend the night cleaning the place spotless and they never show up.

      Helped hone customer service, merchandising, and supervisory skill within a retail setting.

      Hours where not plentiful and people called out often leaving excess work for those who showed up regularly.

      Pay was fine, very amusing workplace..

      Cons

      Constantly changing priorities, hierarchical, nonsensical promotions that were difficult to explain. Sales pitches were more aggressive than helpful. Serious problems with management favouring some employees over others equally qualified.
