Pros

Work with some of the smartest people in Upstream Oil and Gas I have ever met. Every person is approachable and helpful. Most folks are humble as well. 9/80 is an enjoyable perk.

Cons

Departments sometimes tend to be siloed, so finding the right person or contact involves extensive networking.

Pros

- Work-life balance (depends on the team) - Perks like one-time WFH allowance etc. - Good if you wish to do some analytics

Cons

- Zero bonus and hike during 2020, due to COVID - Stupid interview process which is not great at assessing a candidate's skills and assigns similar roles to people across different experience levels - You will be locked into a team for 2 years and have no option to switch - Promotion is not assured and could take 2-4 years or even longer. The process is not transparent either - Not so great work across most teams - Mainly dashboarding, simple EDA, etc. Not so much advanced analytics and interesting work
