Pros

Clearly the benefits. 401k is strong plus retirement plan. If you can carve out your niche and stick it out, there is a reward for longevity.

Cons

Senior management is weak and narrow minded. Pay is below what is available in comparable markets. They expect you to take a "home town" discount.

Pros

Always prompt with pay, good benefits, home office support staff excellent to work with. Computer/IS Dept. absolutely outstanding. Underwriting Dept. very good, flexible.

Cons

Increasingly more difficult to attain bonuses, Customer retention is an ongoing challenge, and traditional methods of attracting new business have gradually eroded over time
