Pros

The people at Shelter are world-class! I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of different people across different departments and they are all fantastic! We have a great culture here, and I love the direction our company is headed. The benefits have always been extremely competitive, and our company has taken great strides to make employee salaries competitive with the market.

Cons

If I had to point to one con, it would have to be that in the past our company has seemed to lag technology wise. However, company leadership has made this a priority and made significant investments toward improvement. Now I am very excited about the direction our company is headed from a tech standpoint.

Pros

It was a good company...

Cons

The company has gone downhill with new management that wants to micro-manage and not truly care about the employees as they once did... Sad but true. Reconsider going to work here because it's definitely not the pie in the sky as it's made out to be... It has become a joke and laughing stock in the industry. They will roll over for the most part to satisfy a shop and most customers but will screw their employee to say the least. Total Joke!!! As far as compensation and benefits, that was decent back in 2000's but has gotten worse in time especially the pay compared to the stress level they expect you to manage.

Pros

Good people for the most part.

Cons

-Pay is below every other company in the industry, like not even close -Technology is behind, they are too cheap to spend money where it’s needed -Business casual dress, again, behind the times -Vacation hours are a joke -Big companies give you a year end bonus, Shelter let’s you pick a $50 gift
