      Pros

      This is a fantastic organization that provides care for some of the most disenfranchised, vulnerable populations in the United States. Great work culture with a lot of fulfillment.

      Cons

      Very large and scattered organization, so it depends on which unit/location you work from, as it varies greatly.

      Great Non-Profit Organization to Build a Career

      Pros

      - Lots of opportunity for advancement - Great benefits at reasonable cost, especially individual rates for health insurance! - Work culture that truly appreciates and rewards exceptional work - Generous paid leave that rolls over at the end of the year

      Cons

      - Working in direct care can be very draining. The organization is very supportive of its staff, but risk of burnout remains high. - Family health benefits can get quite pricey and tend to increase in cost year after year - As with any non-profit, the budget is always tight.

      Good workplace for experience, not great management, very stressful job

      Great patients and families good medical benefits decent pay for the area

      Cons

      Poor support from management. Unit operated with no manager on the unit for over a year and then had someone in position for less than 2 months before she quit. Then went 5 more months with no on unit manager. Chronically understaffed. Even with a full time manager we were often told "that's just how it is" "I don't make these rules I just enforce them" Manager would not address issues with direct team members even if it was only 1-2 people making the same error, she would address the team as a whole which was terrible for morale for the rest of the teams who were giving this job their all. Overall felt extremely unsupported, the census of patients kept increasing so mistakes were being made and I felt it was unethical. The hospital appeared more concern with making sure they were making money as opposed to ensuring they provided the best care to patients and their families.
