      Cutting edge tech, freedom to operate as you see fit, you are respected and trusted if you can prove that you can deliver value, business is growing rapidly and customer demand is very exciting to see

      Not for people who want traditional 40 hr work life balance

      Pros

      Interesting work environment where people seem highly motivated. Cutting edge tech is fun to develop. There are very few “normal” days.

      Cons

      Very blatant discrimination against women; there are 0 women in upper management. The C-suite is all men who are friends or family of the CEO. Goals and initiatives seem short-sighted. Many people get fired over budget cuts or layoffs at random so that the finance people are happier or the jobs page is “always hiring” new roles. Something like 20% of staff are fired every year. The equity/stocks are worthless because still has no profitable products and is only surviving on private investment.

      Until Shield bought Martin, Then things got gradually worse

      Cons

      The things that made Martin great was the camradery and friendships between all levels of the company. That changed with Shield.
