Trying to be the Tesla of drones

Pros

Really, truly, excellent engineers and teammates. Could not ask for better people to work with on a daily basis.

Cons

Things were great a year ago, but starting in Jan 2024, leadership made it clear they want to model company culture based on Tesla or SpaceX, in that they expect all employees to live for their job and have no life outside of work. It's not sustainable, it's counter-productive, and it's the reason I ended up leaving - I have seen so many of my teammates get worn down and burned out by meaningless deadlines and half-baked projects that ended up being scrapped anyways.

The work is stimulating, which can sometimes be stressful. The company is very mission driven and is succeeding in making an impact. Coworkers are intelligent and you will grow here. Company is well resourced and pay, equity, and bonuses are great.

Cons

In certain groups or at certain times, long hours can be needed. Expectations can change fast as the company grows quickly. Many groups expect members to be in office exclusively.
