      1. The mission is very important 2. The technology is challenging and fun to build up 3. The team is excellent 4. The pace of development is fast which means developers get to see their work used almost right away

      1. Its a demanding job with constant challenges requiring flexibility and often long hours 2.Hardware development/testing requires engineers to be on site and depending on the team can include significant travel to support flight testing

      Pros

      I have loved working here. Shield tries to do things the right way setting you up for success in your career. The people here are intelligent, skilled, and kind. You can rely on your coworkers and learn tons from them. I feel I am a much better engineer today than I was when I started thanks to the company's concerted effort to develop its employees through mentorship, self directed learning, and work opportunities. Also, the work life balance is great, the work is interesting, and the mission is something I can get behind and be proud of.

      Cons

      Things are moving quickly causing a little chaos at times. Still the processes in place do a great job of minimizing the chaos.
