Pros

You get paid at least twice a month.

Cons

Although I cannot speak for every department or area within this company I can only say that during my short time here I have realized that I made a mistake coming here. It could be that I came from a culture that was much larger and there was room for growth and to move around. For starters when I was brought on to this job one of my main goals was upward mobility and I expressed. I was given the oh yea we see you in this capacity and so on and so forth. After being in my role for a month it became very evident that this was not the case. I should have known when I found out there were people that have been there for 30 years and were seemingly in the same capacity I was in. Onboarding was a smooth transition but after getting into the role I quickly found out that I was expected to do my job effectively with little to no resources. No one was helpful in my area as they lacked the technical expertise to do so and my direct superior was incapable of even coming up with a workflow that would keep me busy. I found myself doing busy work due to the incompetence in my area. One of the major things of me coming into the role was to implement change with some processes in which I quickly found out that change is not accepted amongst people that have been with the company for over 30 years and since my superior didn't want the type of drama that would come from it I was never backed in my suggestions. The mindset of leadership is "It's my way or the highway" type of deal and they simply do not listen. My role was continuously empty due to their incompetence because everytime they got someone good they would run them away. It's not an professional environment and it's like highschool. Leadership tells you things to make you feel like they're headed in the right direction and then all of a sudden things suddenly change. Leadership abuses their authority and treat people like crap all of the time. Its just all around bad.

Pros

The vision and innovation that RIC puts toward helping people with disabilities is amazing. They have some of the best doctors. Their mission is very positive.

Cons

The environment is like high school and management has too much leverage. They go by their own rules . They are very disrespectful and degrading towards minorities. There is a lot of inside unethical practices at RIC.

Pros

Many good, caring people work there. Good working relationship for the most part between physicians and other health care workers

Cons

Much more concerned with image and self promotion than substance. Very secretive and unpredictable senior management Patient care is not #1 priority
