Culture is favorable towards certain ethnic groups, very disrespectful towards minorities, very unethical practices, over worked-under paid, little room for advancement depending on ethnicity, Cliquish environment.

Pros

The vision and innovation that RIC puts toward helping people with disabilities is amazing. They have some of the best doctors. Their mission is very positive.

Cons

The environment is like high school and management has too much leverage. They go by their own rules . They are very disrespectful and degrading towards minorities. There is a lot of inside unethical practices at RIC.

Pros

Magnet status, number 1 rehab hospital in nation, high tech, clean, competitive pay. Rewarding to see patients actually physically get stronger and more independent.

Cons

Understaffed ESP with PCT shortage (though this is a problem at every hospital atm), so PCTS get away with being lazy. Most nurses are new grads for the most part. Post acute care setting, so may lose some essential nursing assessment/IV insertion skills.
