Rewarding Work

Pros

Flexible hours, we work hard but it's rewarding work. I'm heard and my opinion seems to matter. Higher than average pay and the overtime is great. Works on a government contract so my individual insurance premium is 100% covered. Opportunities for growth exist for all. Love knowing my strengths.

Cons

We do work hard together. There has been lots of fast growth and the building under construction. I don't like that much.

The only consistency is inconsistency.

Pros

Flexible working hours when it suits them. Decent pay if you don't take/need the benefits.

Cons

Management claims to be understanding. Not really. The only consistent thing about this place, is that there is no consistency. So if you work here, prepare to get told 22 different answers at any given time when asking the same question. Things will be promised to you, and then taken-back. Had 2 managers that were good/tolerable. Several others are awkward, insensitive, and holier-than-thou. Family friendly? Nope. More lies to get you to sign on for the roller coaster that is working here. Tip-toe lines of legal/illegal with employee rights and the fine print of their government contracts daily. Core values are Integrity, Respect, Courage, Passion. Yea. Right. CEO may believe in these things, but management and employees "talk the talk" but very few "walk the walk". Things getting stolen, management and HR do nothing about it. Coworkers range from snooty to disturbingly sickly. Bathrooms are disgusting. For a company that's grown as much as signature has, they really need better amenities for employees. Building is full of sick people and poor circulation, so prepare for lots of doctors' visits or buy stock in tissues. A/C has been broken since 2015 or earlier. Building management either can't or won't fix it. INSANELY HIGH COST OF BENEFITS. UNBELIEVABLE. Unrealistic for any working class person. Cost almost $29K between deductible and premiums for a family before insurance paid a DIME. Unacceptable. Leaves a large number of employees no choice but to not take company insurance. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Extra $4.27/hr if you don't take the health insurance. Did not include in my Salary review because it's purpose is to offset the cost of insurance. MANDATORY awkward award ceremonies every 3 months where management and the "popular kids" pat each other on the back in front of the whole company. No opportunity for raises "due to government contracts". Other "government contract" jobs and companies provide annual raises, if not more frequently. More lies to save money for Executive Management team and group of "popular kids" to take lavish 1/2 million dollar vacations together. Performance bonuses not always attainable for various reasons and depend on your contract. Inconsistent enforcement of "business casual". Inconsistent enforcement of absence policy. Inconsistent enforcement of cell phone policy (another government contract no-no based on the work we do).
