Best culture I've ever been a part of

Pros

The culture at Signify is the best I have ever been a part of. There's always some sort of event to bring the company together such as Food Truck Fridays, college color days or chili cook-offs. Management appreciates their employees and recognizes their hard work. The new CEO, Kyle, really takes time to get to know people in the company. Whether they are an executive or a receptionist, he take the time to learn their name and get to know them.

Cons

I wish we could bring our dogs to work. :( Parking can be a little frustrating at times. There's a designated garage but if you don't get here early then you have to park at the very top and your car is like a sauna with this Texas heat when you leave. The cafe downstairs isn't terrible, but it'd be nice to have some healthier options.... maybe a free salad bar.

Pros

Nice rental cars Many interesting patients Can make a genuine contribution to patient health. I have picked up heart block, a fib, malignant hypertension, elderly abuse, seizure disorders etc Can work your pick of days

Cons

Like everyone has said scheduling is horrible. Same problem s as 5 yrs ago despite rollout of supposed new scheduling software. Ridiculous amount of backtracking at times consuming a hour travel time each way back to where you started. Often returning to same area you were the day before. Patients often are clueless as to why you are there. Assessments easily take 11/2 hours and you are very often late to next appt esp when having to battle crosstown traffic. If Fedex or UPS scheduled like this they would be out of business. Rural travel can be very dangerous with bad road conditions to psychologically unstable patients with lots of guns. Had to ask one patient to remove 38 pistol from table during interview. No feedback on patient interventions. If you have to contact PCP it is time consuming and you can be greeted with great hostility.
