Pros

Remote work bit dont let this fool you

Cons

No clear sense of career direction. They are just a bunch of small firms trying to play in a big firm market but most of the people there are old school and cant think outside the box. There is no clear preference for a certain race and that shows on all their senior leadership as well as the composition of the overall company.

We're disappointed to hear that your experience didn't reflect our commitment and efforts, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Remote work for the most part. Teams usually consist of knowledgeable and helpful individuals. Benefits and PTO flexibility are better than average.

Cons

Project managers seems overworked. I've spoken to project managers who have said they've been on as many as 7 projects at once. The standard 2.5% annual pay increase does not even cover the cost of living adjustment for this year. With high performance reviews and no bonuses (or information on how to earn bonuses aside from "submitting timesheets daily") it feels almost insulting. After taxes, my 2.5% raise amounts to roughtly $50 more each pay period. So I effectively have less spending power this year than I did last year because management has decided to base pay increases on the low end of the scale, which is disappointing to say the least.

Thank you for your comment. We believe that rewarding and recognizing excellent work is in the best interest of the company and all team members. Sikich conducts regular compensation benchmarking that shows our pay ranges are at least at or, in many cases, above the 50th percentile. To arrive at our comparisons, we utilize only best practice, industry-standard salary surveys that appropriately account for our business lines and geographies and are accumulated from our actual peer set. These market compensation benchmarks take cost of living into account. Sikich operates on a merit-based compensation system. We calculate an overall company salary increase pool based on company performance, and then allocate individual raises based on a number of factors like company and individual performance. If you have questions about this, we encourage you to reach out to your HR Business Partner. They can dive into this with you. Thank you, again, for commenting.
