Pros

-great benefits -decent pay compared to market given the current economy -bonuses are pretty generous depending on how well your group/ the organization does -decent work-life balance depending on workload

Cons

-extremely political and clique-ish -people who suck up to managers move up -generally you are promoted based on who you know, not how you do -managers who don't walk the talk

Pros

Benefits are awesome and company is very focused on work life balance for employees. There is much flexibility in meeting business and personal needs.

Cons

SVB has an established way of doing things that is very slow to change. They have been very successful however every company has opportunities to improve.
