Pros

HR led with some nice sentiments about supposed culture and values through the onboarding process? In the past they attracted team members who actually care about helping US behavioral health professionals rather than clocking in and cashing out. These people are dwindling.

Cons

SimplePractice is experiencing classic post-PE-buyout undercutting of what was previously a great company to work for. Benefits are being cut. A large portion of the company is being offshored. Changing performance expectations are opaque, threatening, and completely misaligned with employee wellbeing or goals of helping the larger behavioral health landscape. Beware.

Thank you for your candid review. As a current team member, we invite you to reach out to your manager, group lead, or the People & Culture group so we could better understand your specific experience. That way, we can dig in deeper, answer questions you may have, and find a way to avoid burnout.

Pros

I don't know any pros after 1 year of work

Cons

You get to work as a full stack - 90% of your tasks - sawing the frontend on EmberJs, which is far from the latest version, which is far from all modern frontend. During work, you think - where else can I apply my EmberJs coding skills. A very toxic backend team.

Pros

SimplePractice is a solid company to work for. I have found the pay, benefits, and people to be at or above average. Our customer base is unique, but there is something to be said about working with and helping professionals who are doing good and actually important work.

Cons

Over the past year, SP has transitioned to be a private company owned by PE. Bear that in mind when considering coming to work here: despite being relatively small, the bottom line is decided by people who you will likely never meet. Still a very flat management style, and there are not many opportunities to grow within the team you are on.
