Falling apart

Pros

Nice location in California with great access to outdoors

Cons

Years of poor leadership has caused the school to really fall apart. Buildings are in disarray, salaries were terrible when I was there, and the university stopped contributing to retirement for the last several years I was there.

Pros

The university recognizes the efforts of its faculty and staff. The pay is reasonable and the university life is full of extra benefits to faculty and staff including sporting and fine arts events as well as free meal plan, parking, counseling and other amenities. The university has grown four years in a row and values growing diversity in student, faculty, staff and board of trustees. Multiculturalism is clearly a value and recently awarded the Federal HSI status.

Cons

The university knows it needs more classroom space and activity space so they are engaged in a campaign to fund two buildings, one to house business tech and the other feature is an events center for big events and sports activities.
