Pros

Variety of benefit options. Somewhat good work/life balance

Cons

There are some big ego's in Management. Management is very quick to down someone but very slow on positive actions. They will tell you what you want to hear, but don't count on their words. Moral is the lowest I have ever seen. SBG needs to be more cognizant of the people they hire and the personalities that come with those individuals. Their is definitely an I in team in my department. Some employees are very petty and they make sure you know that they do not like you. It is difficult to approach HR as they are somewhat childish and will mock you when speaking to them. What I see going on in other departments and the treatment good and loyal employees recieve in those departments is extremely upsetting.

Pros

The Digital Group: - Offers some competitive salaries for developers in Seattle - Has some interesting technical challenges - The group has a warm, welcoming feeling - Digital Group managers are technically minded and seem committed to improving the platform through: - Adding automated testing and tools - Cleaning up technical debt - Recognizing strong contributors with promotions (and some raises)

Cons

Worst benefits I've ever seen: - No health until the 1st of the month FOLLOWING 75 days of employment (so ~76-90 days) - One may not take vacation/sick/personal time for the first 6 months - No 401K matching for a year (and their match is only 0.5% per percent up to a whopping 2%) - No stock options for a year (actually typical) As for the Digital Group itself: - The group is growing rapidly, and has reached the point that organization, management, and finding ownership of problems has broken down - The group has too many poor- and non-contributors on the team that take up space and get in the way of progress
