      Awesome product Amazing, complex, difficult customer use cases. We get to solve our customers' hard problems. If you enjoy this, you will love being on this team. Extremely high-quality team, across all facets Great Benefits Free lunch and dinner Management is receptive to feedback Huge potential for growth, both in existing accounts and new ones (displacing Oracle and SAP is fun) Development team is receptive to customer feedback and rapidly incorporates it into the product, especially in MemSQL Ops

      Still developing flows to manage support influx from large customers Still need to add a handful of small features to meet every customer use case requirement Solving hard problems is hard work, and if you don't enjoy that, you probably shouldn't be here.

      Favoritism Destroys Everything Here

      Pros

      Working with colleagues from different departments and the monthly catered lunches.

      Cons

      This place is ruled by favoritism, and it poisons everything. It crushes morale, kills productivity, and pushes people to quit fast. The ones who get favored turn arrogant and smug, walking around like they own the place.

      Pros

      - extremely talented and hardworking people who are passionate about databases and want to see the company do well - everyone is friendly and always willing to help

      Cons

      - continuous attrition - no career path opportunities and terrible communication whenever you ask for career growth - you basically have to fight for your own career and if you're liked, then you'll continue to move. If your team doesn't have a clear direction of how you can grow, then good luck to you because you won't grow at all - no clear company path from leadership and you constantly hear the same things over and over again - a true "boys club" at the top - toxic culture
