      Mature startup in a competitive space...opportunities and challenges

      Pros

      Singlestore is a late stage startup. The database space is hard. In terms of opportunities, the right person can work on challenging problems, among a really smart group of people. Great opportunity to learn new skills quickly. Either solving low level database problems if that is what you are into, or trying to run a distributed database as a service across all three cloud providers, and all of the challenges that come with that.

      Cons

      Too much to do and not enough time. The workload is kind of uneven across teams with some teams busier than others. Depending on where you work, work life balance can be a struggle. But, management is pretty receptive to feedback in this area as well.

      I became aware and open-minded to employees' abuse, and this shall be may advocacy!

      Cons

      It was terrible to witness how the management callously took advantage of the rights of every employees. The lack of respect fir employees' well-being and basic rights was truly appalling. It seemed like they derived pleasure from subjecting us to unfair treatment and exploitation. The management's complete disregard for ethical practices and their unflinching willingness to engage in such behavior without second thought was deeply disturbing. It felt as if they were driven by a malevolent force, and their actions were nothing short of evil. Be cautious and be aware of this hell!

      SingleStore is a great place to work, this crew has a culture of hard work + fun. I've learnt a lot of great things in my time here and I'd strongly recommend this company if you are interested in databases. There are a lot of database companies out there, but they are either too big where you are really not making a difference or too small where you there opportunity to break out is small - SingleStore is at this inflection point where you can make a difference and have a very probability of success.
