Bad management.

Pros

Very good international team. Good technologies(C#, C++, Oracle). Very nice product. Well known clients across the world. May be good start for junior developers.

Cons

This is worst management which I saw. I was working at PilatMedia before SintecMedia acquired it. Our Pilat CEO knew everyone by name. His doors were opened to anybody. But Sintec managers called employees as "resource" or "focal point". That's why many peoples were resigned after Sintec became an owner. Also salaries are not really competitive.

Pros

- good experience for someone starting out their career (domain knowledge, product/s, big clients) - travel opportunities - international teams exposing you to professionals from all over the world. Plenty of cross-team communication - some product branches have strong methodologies and processes and strong heads of departments - overall a functioning software company

Cons

- little to no people management and lack of motivation as a result - very little feedback and no career progression paths - compensation lower than market average - not caring attitude from senior staff, being overloaded is the root cause. You have to be pro-active and chase people to be able to succeed (the latter isn't necessarily a bad thing, but taken badly by management) - no product management, things get lost and forgotten along the way - outdated development models and technologies Was better before merger for employees of acquired companies.
