Pros

SiteMinder rewards hard work. Not only do they ask for your feedback, but they respond and action it immediately. Anyone at the company, not just managers, have the ability to directly impact the business and the processes that we put into place. We work hard and we play hard, there is always some fun competition or opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues. I continue to come to work each day because of the people around me that make up our amazing culture.

Cons

This is a high change environment and moves at a quick pace, if you can't keep up with the pace and the amount of change, it can be difficult. On the other hand, if you aren't looking to do the same thing day in and day out, this is the place for you!

Pros

Unique global tech business -- one of few opportunities to work at a scaling global business headquartered from Australia Compelling vision -- feel like the founders have a great sense of where we've come from and where we want to go Strong leadership team -- the company has brought on some heavy hitters into the senior leadership ranks over the past year and we're really feeling the positive effects Fun, diverse team -- speaking from Sydney office, but the team here is diverse in experience, background, and gender and just a ton of fun to be around

Cons

Lack of focus -- ambitious vision but need to realise sometimes we only have capacity to execute so many things / it's better to do a few things well than many things poorly Subpar change management -- we're a high growth company so part of this is natural, but don't always seem to take the time we should to think through change

Pros

The people are what make SiteMinder fun. The company is great at showing everyone a good time. The Sydney offices are in a good location.

Cons

Often feels like the blind leading the blind. The company often promotes people with no experience, in to seats where they shouldn’t be sitting, instead of hiring genuinely qualified people for said roles. Some of the sales strategies of late, have no backing from the sales teams they effect and there’s a genuine distrust between sales management and quota carrying reps. We’re also yet to see any drastic changes from these changes and teams are still well underperforming. A call centre style approach to sales, is not the right method here. The people who have made these decisions are so out of touch with what it means to sell here and are focussed too heavily on sales staff attrition rates and how to lessen these, rather than sales staff training. If you invest in your sales org and teach them to sell, rather than throwing a list in front of them and asking them to call everyone, you’ll see longevity out of them. HR team are so out of touch with what they should be doing. HR should support everyone, not just the management teams.

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way. As you are aware, we are going through a significant change programme in order to accelerate our growth and build an organisation that is globally scalable. Early results have been very encouraging as growth is accelerating around the world. In the last six months, we have appointed a new global Chief of Sales to strengthen our global sales leadership, made significant investment to improve our sales tools and processes and established a dedicated global Sales Training function to develop and deliver a complete sales success and professional development programme. We welcome the opportunity for all our teams to directly speak up when they see problems and opportunities to enhance our employee and customer experience. We would encourage you to connect with Jonathan, our new Global Chief of Sales to discuss your feedback and address your individual concerns. Dionne - Global Head of People
