Pros

SiteMinder is a fast-growing, fun and supportive place to work. A small senior leadership team works closely with the larger sales and IT support teams making for a close-knit office. The perks? Plenty - very friendly bunch, free beers on Friday and a games/chill out area coming soon.

Cons

The company is growing so quickly it can be a struggle to keep up with all the new starters! (Really a positive as this makes for a fast-paced office and a working culture that champions growth).

Pros

Flexible in scheduling holidays and days off.

Cons

Working in the support department it is a terrible experience. No organisation at all. All the good employees end up leaving for lack of careers opportunities and for unrealistic work load expectations they have over you. Despite that management thinks their leaving is nothing to do with the company environment. No benefits at all, not even a bonus. Oh wait, there are free cookies!!!

Started out seeming pretty promising however it quickly began to fade

Pros

Flexible hours in training. Employees are funny although all of them are disgruntled and broke due to lack of commissions. What you are told when you are hired is a complete fallacy.

Cons

Micromanaging like you wouldn't believe. Quotas double monthly when no one is hitting them unless they are fed inbound leads to the favorites. Company culture is supposedly fun, but they watch everything you do. Monitor and listen to your calls in their free time for "coaching" aka reprimanding. High daily call minutes requirement. You are selling to an industry that is not receptive. Even if you do get a sale the back end support is not interested in helping you keep it so you often lose your sales when they go to training. The product is over priced and you often lose sales to competitors charging a tenth of what we do. High stress, low reward. 5 months later and not a single commission check. I made a wrong career decision and I'm trying to prevent others from doing the same.
