      Least professional company I have ever worked for. A disappointment.

      Pros

      It pays better than retail. But, I was happier in retail in college making minimum wage.

      Cons

      It pays poorly for industry/position, nor is as good a work environment as anywhere else you could go with your CV. Skills and talent are not rewarded, but are viewed as threats to longterm, entrenched employees. Literally, everyone that was worth anything was run out. Hard work did not equal reward. Skanska Europe is different... I am talking strictly Skanska USA. I worked in offices all over the USA from Boston, to NYC to Oakland, Phoenix and many, many more. I met the CEO numerous times. (Not Anders- he came in to clean up mess I am talking about. Will he?)

      Pros

      Great benefits, big projects, possible to transfer between offices and or even business units, a few good managers that still connect with their people.

      Cons

      Huge company, easy to become just a number, upper management is disconnected. Quick to hire and slow to fire low or non-performers.

      Skanska was very supportive of professional development and offered a great deal of training. It is a good company to join if you're series about your career and growing your skills.

      Cons

      The career path can be unclear.
