      Great work, lousy benefits

      Pros

      Lots of work to do, lots of support and training available, interesting global work exchange program.

      Cons

      First paycheck is manual and mailed via usps. If you start at the beginning of the pay period you go almost a month without pay. Also benefits are below par for the area: 2 weeks vacay a year, 5 sick days. The standard in PDX is now 3 weeks and if you're sick,stay home (within reason; the alternative is to offer 20 days pto)

      Pros

      Safety first! Employer really cares about sending everyone home safely at the end of the day.

      Cons

      Medical benefits are just OK. Premiums are really high compared to other plans. Maybe this is because the Seattle office uses east coast companies?

      Honest work, good trade to learn, massive company so lots of work if you don't mind travel, pretty organized company to work for

      No home life, your a hand not a person, idiot for project maneger. Not paid till we get to the rig
