Pros

Healthcare and discounts! Not anything pro about this company other than that

Cons

I began my time at SkinSpirit with high hopes, and the initial experience was positive. It felt like a great opportunity to grow in the industry. However, as time went on, the reality didn’t match the promises. Despite taking on the majority of the work and responsibilities, I often found leadership absent or disengaged—sometimes even brought up by clients themselves, which was disheartening. The work environment became increasingly focused on internal drama rather than professionalism and support. Unfortunately, when concerns were brought to corporate, instead of addressing the issues, the response was retaliation. This created a culture where feedback isn’t welcomed, and job security is uncertain. While SkinSpirit presents an attractive opportunity to providers during the recruitment process, the compensation often does not align with those promises. It felt more like a sales pitch than a long-term career path. Overall, it was not a sustainable or supportive environment. I would recommend future candidates ask direct questions and proceed with caution!!!!

Pros

Nice treatment rooms, good product selections, good location for a mall setting.

Cons

Dead-end job. No advanced training opportunities, raises, performance reviews or positive feedback (negative, right on it!). Gaslighting is imbedded in the toxic culture. Admins, management and leadership have no experience in clinic operations or scheduling and they don’t care if your day flows or makes sense. There is no team mentality - it’s us against them and they control your schedule. Bait and switch tactics from the job description and interview to what your schedule actually looks like. Only a select few are favorites and get to choose what treatments they do, get paid a significant higher commission & hourly and have less education and experience (ie, they have not completed the 450 hour Masters Aesthetic program instead the company wrote a letter stating they had been “trained” and were grandfathered in). If you’re not one of chosen (you won’t be), good luck growing your clientele and getting your appointments scheduled properly. Admins routinely offer your clients to see another esthetician because your schedule is full and they’re too lazy to add the client to your waitlist, which they don’t call anyway. Bathrooms are dirty and always out of soap and toilet paper. When not shopping online, admins are gossiping about everyone to everyone. It’s clicky and sharky. Overall moral is low and the clinic is not a positive, supportive or happy place to work.
