Pros

Great products. They have some brilliant designers, and I think leadership has a great vision. But executing that vision seems ... complicated. There are a lot of communication problems which seem to come from not knowing whether they're a tiny start-up or an established company.

Cons

It's a creative environment, but it's also oddly formal. As previous posters have said, there's a lot of red tape to cut through to try to get anywhere. Worth it if you're a toy designer since you're driving the space and the company has an amazing reputation. But if you're anything else, do yourself a favor and work somewhere else.

Juvenile design shouldn't have such immature management

Pros

The work can be very exciting and there are a lot of little perks to working there like pizza Fridays and work outings and parties. Many of your coworkers are nice interesting people and I would love to see them at any opportunity. The pizza they order isn't even that good...they should go back to ordering from Patty's

Cons

Some management figures are less than supportive, and can be downright discouraging. Their holiday/vacation policy is terrible. There is a policy of micro-management in all levels. They do not pay anyone what they are worth. There is little room for upward mobility within the company. The general morale within the company seems very low. There is a great deal of turn over (of employees) in key areas of the business. Despite the illusion of transparency there are a lot of closed door meetings that determine major changes in strategy and direction for the entire company. The founders of the company, despite being fine people, still act like they are running the company out of their apartment at times; it has outgrown them in my opinion. One of the founders seems to say any thought that comes into their mind without being conscious of any repercussions.
