Pros
Pay was decent, they give you free food for holidays, holidays are decent but they took 1 away for the past 2 years meaning 2 less for 2016 than 2014
Cons
There is a high level of unprofessionalism throughout the organization. No one is ever held accountable so they always find a scapegoat below them that they hold accountable. I asked many questions during the interview process about culture and nothing I was told was true. After about a month of working there, I soon realized that nothing was true that I was sold on. There is no teamwork and the culture is crazy and there are a lot of back stabbers. I have never been in a place where there is such a high concentration of this type of attitude and upper management ignores it. The systems are very bad too; they have way too many. I think turnover has decreased, but mainly due to the bad job market in Houston. I know people that have been looking for something different for the past 6 months, and they are still searching for a different job. I have a few friends that talked to the recruiters that placed them here and the recruiters no longer work with HIIG due to the experiences many of their candidates experienced.
