      Avoid if you can

      Pros

      It’s like working at a glorified frat or sorority house, it can be an okay experience if you were in one in college.

      Cons

      Overall, I would tell anyone to avoid working here. The leadership is horribly political and more involved in their own gains than truly developing and mentoring their people or driving new business. Benefits are also very poor, terrible 401k match and health plan options, and salaries are not competitive.

      Pros

      Work life balance is decent at consultant levels. Some genuine and good people.

      Cons

      Doesn’t pay that well. There are wide pay ranges at each level but the highest is generally lower than the higher range of the Big 4. Not a place for you , if you don’t know how to suck up to your manager. (It can actually be a pro if you know how to do that.) If you spend your weekends barbecuing at your mangers house while your wife/girlfriend laughs at his unfunny jokes , you’ll get promoted every 6 months. However if you like to keep professional and personal separate and want to get ahead just on the basis of your work it will be an uphill battle. And they would tell that to your face , that you are not embracing the “People Culture” and not “building relationships”. The HR team is there just for paperwork, they let managers create exceptions do what they want anyways. There are no checks and balances.

      Pros

      - My voice is heard - I feel I have the autonomy and flexibility to do my job well - The leaders and team members genuinely care for one another and our clients Slalom DC has set the bar for all other companies. I feel lucky to work here with amazing people, good work, and the time they invest to always be better than they were yesterday.

      Cons

      - You have to set boundaries with your time. If you can do that, then it can be a great experience here.
