Pros

It's a job and I got paid on time 95% of the time

Cons

Hypocritical Claim to care about mental health, but don't show it UNLESS you're an influencer No raises for YEARS for employees who kept the company running through the pandemic Bad communication throughout the whole company, but especially with Experience employees. All the bad parts of corporate America and none of the good. Hiring managers who are abusive and the higher ups make excuses for them until there was recorded proof, meanwhile their employees are having mental breakdowns and trauma after effects due to said managers. No incentives or benefits for workers that they work overtime for their busy seasons and cut hours to nothing with little to no notice when it slows down. They can't keep even a core staff employed throughout the year. High turnover upstairs because they'll hire anyone Waste money in small ways that add up They make and throw away TONS of garbage and product. No loyalty to employees who have been there for literal years. EVERYONE is expendable. NYC is the most rundown of the locations, but is where they bring everyone to show off the company. Employees are paraded and forced to put on fake faces for investors. Power dynamics are a real thing and they pretend like they don't exist. Party hosts get treated like crap and aren't allowed to even accept tips for the struggle.

Pros

Career advancement is possible if you hustle beyond belief. Be careful, though, you may just end up doing 6 people's jobs for the NYS overtime exempt salary (I literally would have made more as a salary worker with the amount of overtime I was robbed of). The community of people Sloomoo attracts is wonderful. Despite the cons, I made lifelong friends here.

Cons

The Co-CEO's are a nightmare. They are the sole cause for poor company culture and high turnover. Unclear, poorly communicated expectations, catty gossip within earshot of everyone, and argumentative to people just trying to line THEIR pockets with more cash. Customers are entitled, nasty, and rude. Typically resulting from poor company policies and mishandlings. They take advantage of hard-working employees who don't know better. Empty promises and carrot dangling, they'll say how they really want to give you a better pay raise NEXT year, give you a bonus for accomplishing a complex task, none of it ever comes to fruition. They're expanding at a rate that's only going to hurt their culture further in the long run. No consideration for the multiplying workloads for their staff, no accompanying pay raises for new locations and added responsibility. Turnover was constant, but the rate of new hires was slow. Almost like they were considering if they really needed to hire that position again, while letting the team drown in work. Because of the high-stress environment with loony, hyperinvolved CEO's, employees can lash out at one another from time to time.

Pros

The pay is decent but not at all worth it.

Cons

Upper management/corporate team is grossly incompetent. Horrible work conditions. It's clear that they don't care about the employees at all. Health benefits are terrible and overpriced. Founders pay lip service to lofty values that are nonexistent in their business practices. Worst job I've ever had by far, truly awful.
